The World Wide Wander is coming to Montreal and Toronto!

The World Wide Wander is the annual, global celebration of Street Wisdom.

It’s an invitation for inspiration-seekers, just like you, to slow down, step outside the familiar, and wander and wonder into the insight and ideas that are all around you.

What is Street Wisdom?

We are so glad you asked!

Street Wisdom is a guided three-hour "walkshop" that teaches participants how to use the streets as a creative problem-solving partner.

The urban environment is brimming with inspiration, ideas and insight, and most of the time, we hustle right past everything that is on offer.

The Street Wisdom walkshop is an invitation to slow down, look around and invite that stimulus into our hearts and minds so we can generate fresh thinking.

How does it work?

A Street Wisdom walkshop takes place in three parts:

  1. The Tune-Up. First, your Street Wisdom facilitator will guide you and the rest of the group through a series of easy tune-up exercises so you're better able to see, hear and engage with the incredible stimulus all around you.

  2. The Quest. Then you’re off on your own individual journey—the Street Wisdom Quest. During your Quest, you will ask the streets a question and see what ideas, insight and answers present themselves. You don’t have to wander far...you will be amazed by what you see, learn and experience in a small part of the neighbourhood you're exploring.

  3. The Debrief. In the final 60 minutes of the experience, all of the walkshop participants gather together again to share what happened, what ideas and insights they gleaned during their Quest. And we always spend time marveling at how magical an ordinary street can become when you really tune into and embrace hidden messages, chance meetings and unexpected discoveries.

In just three hours of wandering and wondering, participants have resolved problems that have dogged them for years, found new business ideas, changed careers, discovered new directions, and learned how to deal differently with life and love.

Who is it for?

It is relevant for anyone who has been struggling with a personal issue, seeking a creative breakthrough, trying to figure out what's next or decide how to tackle a challenge at work. And once you experience Street Wisdom, you can do it again and again on your own.

Do I need to bring anything?

All you need to bring is an open mind, good walking shoes, clothes suitable for the weather, AND a question you'd like to explore...nothing too big ("What is the meaning of life?") or too small ("What shall I have for lunch?") but somewhere in the middle. Bring a question, issue or challenge that would really benefit from some fresh thinking.

How do I sign up?
